NFL Football Betting: New York Jets at Pittsburgh Steelers

With Peyton Manning’s gone and Tom Brady gone, do the New York Jets have anyone left to motivate them in the AFC Championships? Although the Jets respect Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger it will have to be him.
“Big Ben, he’s next on our list,” Jets receiver Braylon Edwards said.
NFL odds have the Jets listed as 3.5-point underdogs in the Bodog Sportsbook. But it might as well be a “pick” with how well New York been playing the past two weeks.
That said, the big difference bettors should recognize is this game isn’t “personal” like coach Rex Ryan dubbed the Wild Card and Divisional rounds. The Jets seem to thrive when they have to walk the walk because they talked the talk, it’s been nothing but love from the Gang Green this week.
“I love Ben, man,” said Jets corner Antonio Cromartie. “Ben’s a competitor.”
If you’re looking for one piece of drama to keep an eye on, former Steeler and current Jet Santonio Holmes did mention that he is looking to show the Steelers that trading him was a crucial mistake.
“If we win the Super Bowl, that’s a slap back in (their) face for trading me,” Holmes said.
A go-ahead field goal and a safety got the Jets the 22-17 win in Week 15. It was an impressive win where QB Mark Sanchez only passed for 170 yards with no touchdowns. But, as the Jets displayed in the Divisional Round against New England wins in the regular season don’t matter.
“Roethlisberger will beat you up,” coach Ryan said. “I’ve never seen a guy take the hits he can take and also make people miss the way he does and be as accurate on the run.”
With the total listed at 38.5 oddsmakers expected a tough game that will be fought in the trenches, the Steelers and Jets rank second and third respectively in total defense.
