Maybe Kobe Bryant was being sarcastic when he suggested he was “not very confident” that the Los Angeles Lakers could force a Game 7 in the NBA Finals? In Game 6, The Lakers finally came together as a team and dominated the Celtics, beating them 89-67 as Boston Celtics posted the second-lowest single-game point total in Finals history.
Kobe finally got some help from his teammates in Game 6. Ron Artest chipped in 15 points and Paul Gasol assisted on nine scoring plays. The home team is now a 7-point favorite to defeat Boston in Game 7.
Other than Ray Allen, who had 19 points, every other Boston player disappointed in Game 6, including Rajon Rondo (10 points), Paul Pierce (13 points), Kevin Garnett (12 points), Glen Davis (zero points), and Rasheed Wallace (zero points). For Boston to win a second title in three years, its depth will have to shine through instead of disappearing.
