The NASCAR betting hits The Glen this weekend for the Heluva Good! Sour Cream Dips. Those Sprint Cup bettors tired of just going in circles get a curveball at Watkins Glen. The road course levels the playing field, pushing some of the usual favorites to the back of the pack in place of the road specialists. Here's who books predict will run up front Sunday:
- Marcos Ambrose (+350)

Ambrose has made only two career Sprint Cup starts at Watkins Glen, finishing third and second the past two seasons. Last year, the Australian started the Heluva Good! Sour Cream Dips in fourth and stayed among the leaders for a runner-up finish. This season, Marcos Ambrosehasn't had much to cheer about, currently ranked 28 th in the points and announcing his plans to leave JTG Daugherty Racing at the end of the year. He posted a DNF at Pocono after running into engine trouble last weekend.
- Tony Stewart (+350)
Having Stewart priced among the favorites at Watkins Glen is just a testament to how great a driver the No. 14 wheelman really is. Stewart can drive anything with wheels, including a stockcar at one of NASCAR's trickiest tracks. Stewart won last year's Heluva Good! Sour Cream Dips, jumping up from 13 th to lead 34 laps and take the checkered. He's also coming off a second-place showing at Pocono last week – his ninth Top-10 finish in the past 11 races.
- Juan Pablo Montoya (+800)
The former CART, IndyCar, and Formula 1 driver knows the lay of the land at Watkins Glen. During his time in NASCAR, he's taken the track at The Glen three times. He's finished fourth and sixth his last two times out after getting caught in a wreck his first race at WGI. Montoya is 21 st in the points standings, coming off a 16th-place finish at Pocono. He's qualified in the front row in the last two races, giving him an average start of 12 th this season. However, he hasn't been able to hang on at the traditional ovals.
Other Notables
- Jimmie Johnson (+800)
- Jeff Gordon (+800)
- Kyle Busch (+800)
